All the leaves have fallen and November is gone….

But what happened in the world of market research recruitment and how does that impact on you?

Based on what happened at Hasson Associates, we can report a small increase in new vacancies this month. This seems fairly reflective across the industry and certainly mirrors what we hear from our clients in terms of growth. This also matches the figures reported by APSco who have reported an increase in activity for marketing generally.

Of this month’s new roles 3% where in Project Operations, 5% were non MR agency roles, so a mix of clientside and marketing agencies, and the remaining split between qualitative and quantitative was fairly equal. This month most of our vacancies where in London or within commuting distance of London, with the exception of a role in Africa – just in case you were tempted.

Confidence continues to grow in terms of job seekers and the increase in new candidates, which we have been seeing in the latter half of the year, has carried on through November.

We completed our coaching for recruitment training in November which hopefully you will all benefit from. It’s important as the recruitment and talent industry constantly evolves that we match that in terms of developing our skills.

At this time of year there is often a lot of last minute hiring on a temp basis to help with projects. It’s great to see these sorts of roles as there are brilliant candidates available for these positions. For some a temp role is a bridge whilst looking for perm but for others it’s a way of life. We are building a great book of contacts for these positions and are able to respond quickly to your needs whether you are a client or a candidate.
