Insight and Customer Experience

I am a market research recruiter and have been for a very, very long time! Before this, by the nature of my parents’ business, I worked in retail. Since getting involved in the fascinating world of Insight & Research I have always been drawn to its impact on the retail environment and shopper behaviour. Retail remains my hobby and not just shopping (which actually I am not great at) but stores, products, marketing strategies and the customer experience.

I am now delighted that my two loves have come together, recruitment for the research & insight industry and the customer experience. As specialist insight recruiters we get to work with a wide variety of clients, market research agencies, customer experience agencies, manufacturers and retailers.

The development of insight within customer experience is one which we have watched keenly and now are pleased that we are working with many customer experience agencies and consultancies. There is a great opportunity in terms of skills as these two sectors move closer together; the project managers we place in market research agencies have many of the skills of a project manager in customer experience companies. The research managers and insight managers we work with in market research agencies and in-house departments are well suited to the fast pace of the customer experience agency.

Insight drives a successful business, the most impactful insight will show the way on products, service, pricing, branding. Insight and Customer Experience are a perfect match, the customer has a good experience and the business and the people within the business develop. It’s a win-win situation for anyone who wants to really make a difference to the retail environment and in fact to anyone who has customer, be it retail, services or even government.
