Our client is an investment management firm based in London. Launching in 2018, their ambition is to become the leading public equity-focused independent investment firm in Europe over the next decade. They invest in companies spanning a range of industries including technology, media, telecoms, insurance, consumer goods and financial services. They research companies in great depth before investing.
With their primary research currently being conducted by their investment analysts, they are looking to recruit an expert market researcher to help build and develop their primary research function. The researcher will work closely with the investment team and will be responsible for conducting differentiated, primary research. The role involves collecting and synthesising information from primary sources, which will directly influence the firm’s research. This information will form a central part of the firm’s decision to invest.
The ideal candidate will be tenacious, curious and proactive. Operating with autonomy by significantly contributing to the research efforts. They will balance working closely with investment analysts to support the investment process, whilst operating relatively independently in a high-trust and entrepreneurial culture.
You will influence how best to develop and manage the market research function. Helping optimise and structure the primary research process. You will be working seamlessly with the investment team and growing the market research team over time. In the process, contributing to building a world-class investment firm from the ground up. Whilst experience in B2B research would be preferred, prior experience working in investing or finance is not required.
