A perfect dozen….

We are delighted to introduce the latest 2 additions to our team. It’s very exciting for us to be kicking off our 8th year with another 2 people on the team. Our team of 12 experienced research and insight recruiters are in a great position to give you the service you deserve, and with the arrival of Steph Richards and Alex Giurgiu, we are looking forward to helping more of you make the connections you need for success.

So who are these 2 new people? Let me introduce them:

Tell us a bit about your background: What or whom has inspired you to become a recruitment consultant?

Steph: I have to say I fell into recruitment more by accident than design. My first job in London was with a large recruitment advertising agency and I researched, planned and bought recruitment campaigns for major clients. I even got to plan our first ever campaign on the outside of London taxis!

From there I gravitated towards research and insight and worked in national press as a Strategic Research Manager with advertising and editorial teams, managing qual and quant campaigns.  My first role as a recruiter came about in 2006 (I asked them to find me another research job and they offered me a job with them instead!). And here I am…

Alex: I studied HR and the Recruitment Course was the most interesting one. The idea of helping companies recruit the best people combined with the variety the agency environment creates was very appealing.

What do you enjoy most about recruitment?

Steph: I love the buzz of working with great clients and candidates and helping make a difference to a company’s growth and to someone’s career development. Plus I’m naturally curious about what makes people tick so this is an ideal job to use my inner researcher’s mentality to explore minds!

Alex: Developing close relationships with clients and working on those odd jobs that nobody really wants to do.

What’s your favourite place to visit and why?

Steph: I grew up in Devon and one of my favourite places will always be Dartmoor – I miss equally the ruggedness and tranquility of the landscape there.

Alex: I love castles. I love walking the hallways that kings and queens did and imagining how life was back in the day.

How has your first month been?

Steph: My first month has flown, and from day one I felt instantly welcomed and involved, despite having the most horrendous flu virus and sounding like Rod Stewart. Fortunately the team didn’t mind.  I’m endlessly amazed at the amount of treats available in the office – my sweet-toothed colleagues are forever bringing chocolates and doughnuts in. Oh and another plus of course is wine at the end of each Friday afternoon!

Alex: Fun and stressful (the good type). It is very motivating to be in a larger team of market research consultants who all have established networks of candidates.

Oh, last question: Cat or Dog?

SR: Most definitely CAT!

AG: DOG!

We’re all really pleased to have Steph and Alex as part of our team, as you can see they are a great addition to our team. No two Hasson Associates are the same but we all have the same goal, that is to offer the best possible service to you.
